Earl Mountbatten Hospice's Walk the Wight, 13 May 2018

Registration in Earl Mountbatten Hospice shops will be available from 16 March 2018.

Now in its 28th year, Earl Mountbatten Hospice's unique and world famous walk annually attracts thousands of people to walk across the beautiful Isle of Wight countryside to raise money in support of patient and family care provided by Earl Mountbatten Hospice.

Founded by Bill Bradley & Frank Stevens, what started out as a small team building exercise for Morey's staff (now known as Jewson) has grown to become the largest fundraising event on the Island and the largest sponsored walk of its kind in Europe.

Every year, people who take part in Earl Mountbatten Hospice’s Walk the Wight raise a phenomenal amount of money, which enables us to continue to develop our services for Islanders and their families when they need us most, wherever they are on the Island.

Lush, green countryside, historic villages, famous landmarks, majestic chalk cliffs and coastal views with shimmering blue seas - Walk the Wight has all this and more! With a choice of five walks and distances, people of all ages and abilities can take part, making this a real community event.

Earl Mountbatten Hospice's Walk the Wight is only made possible by the ongoing support and commitment of our sponsors, supporters and volunteers - we are always astounded and deeply appreciative of how they work together to make this iconic event happen year after year.

Register now and join the tens of thousands of people who have raised over £4million since the walk began in 1991.

All the money you raise goes to the hospice and towards supporting loved ones when facing the end of their lives, supported by our expert care. Every step you take and every pound you raise will make a difference to how we live and how we die.
