Earl Mountbatten Hospice's Walk the Wight, 14 May 2017
WELL DONE AND THANK YOU!
It was an awesome and emotional day, and we’re really proud of everyone who stepped out in support of the hospice - you are all absolute super stars!
Organising Walk the Wight takes most of the year and can’t be achieved without the support of so many people, witnessing the event finally come together on the day is nothing short of inspirational.
Figures so far show that over 8,200 men, women, children and dogs took part; numbers were boosted by just under 1,000 people who registered on the day itself.
Nigel Hartley, Chief Executive, who walked the entire 26.5 miles said: “It’s been extraordinary, exhilarating and painful in places! It’s incredibly humbling to see so many amazing people walk across our beautiful Island in support of patients and their families. Thank you to each and every one of you!”
