If you are planning to hold your own event in aid of Earl Mountbatten Hospice and you would like us to add it to our events list and social media pages, please email the details of the event, making sure to include the time, date, a description of the event and any posters you may have to firstname.lastname@example.org - we will try our best to make sure they are added.
We are always looking for new ways of fundraising and new and more challenging events. We love to hear any ideas you may have, or if you want to compete in a more challenging event as a group let us know, and we will do everything we can to help and support you. You can get some great ideas for challenges from our Challenges Guide below:

Will you go for gold?
2017 is the 35th anniversary of our Island hospice
In recognition of this milestone, all of our fundraisers throughout the year will receive a limited edition, anniversary badge to say “thank you” for supporting the hospice.
Everyone who raises £35 or more will receive a Bronze anniversary badge. Those who go the extra mile and raise £350 or more will receive a Silver anniversary badge. And those who really step up to the challenge and raise £3,500 or more will receive a Gold anniversary badge. For terms and conditions, click here.
Top Tips to make the most of your Fundraising
Tell people why you are fundraising in the first place, and make it compelling and personal. Why did you choose Earl Mountbatten Hospice? Why will it make a difference to you and patients and their families?
Sign up to JustGiving, where you can tell your story and keep people updated with your progress. You can use your page like a blog by adding updates to keep people coming back for more.
Facebook and Twitter are great ways of keeping people up to date about your fundraising activities. Try to post at least three times a week and include photos or videos, which are a great way to catch attention! Always attach your Justgiving page as a link. Why not set up a group and invite everyone to join it, so you can keep people up to date with your progress?

If you’re taking part in a major Earl Mountbatten Hospice event, make sure you upload the relevant campaign Twibbon to your profile picture, which will highlight your fundraising support. You’ll find the details with the event information on our website (not all events will have a Twibbon).
Spread the word!
Use any way you can to tell people about your fundraising efforts – include your JustGiving link in your email signature, put posters up at your workplace or local shop window, or ask if you can be included in the next staff newsletter. Contact your local newspaper and radio station, and get included on blogs and other forums. (Soon, you will be able to download a template press release and letter from our website.)
Send a personalised thank you to anyone who donates to your campaign. Pick up the phone, write an email or acknowledge the latest donor on your JustGiving page.
