Welcome to the on-line recruitment section of our website.  Earl Mountbatten Hospice is the only Hospice on the Isle of Wight and employs some 150 full-time and part-time staff covering all aspects of our work.  Our staff and volunteers are our greatest assets and we place great importance on their development and wellbeing.

Caring for those in the final weeks of their lives is challenging and demanding, and it can at times be sad, but working at Earl Mountbatten Hospice is also an uplifting and rewarding experience.  As an equal opportunities employer, EMH invites applications from all suitably qualified candidates for the posts offered on this website.

We offer competitive salaries, contributory pension scheme, 35 days annual leave per annum (incl. public holidays) pro rata, free uniform (where provided), and at the Hospice premises we can provide excellent working conditions in a bright modern environment, on-site parking and subsidised meals.

Opportunities to work at EMH may be through directly-employed posts, or may be opportunities outposted through the NHS where the NHS remains the originating employer.  In general, clinical/nursing/allied health professionals opportunities will be outposted from the NHS.
