Visiting a patient

As a family member or friend, you can visit a patient at any agreed time of the day or day of the week. There are designated parking spaces at the side of the Inpatient Unit. There is no charge for parking.

Our main reception for visits to patients is on the left as you come onto the site. All through the day or night, there will be someone who can help you at this reception to find your way to the ward (Inpatient Unit) and other facilities for patients, family and friends, such as the quiet room and family room.

If you are closely involved with a patient, you may like to look at some information intended for patients themselves.

Visiting the John Cheverton Centre

The John Cheverton Centre provides specific support and services for outpatients, but it is also a social hub for the community. It opens from 8am to 4pm, though most of the social activities take place between 10am and 3pm. Its Sunflower Cafe is open from 8am until 4pm.

The John Cheverton Centre is opened separately for our evening concert series (see Events).

"What should have been a very stressful time was eased by the love, professionalism and warmth we received from all the staff."
