FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT
Major Events Fundraising Team
 
22.5 hours per week – Fixed-Term Contract (6 months)
Salary £9381.65 per annum

 
If you love challenges and enjoy working in a busy environment we have just the opportunity for you.    Our Fundraising Team here at the Hospice are looking for a Fundraising Assistant to join them. 
 
This is a varied role delivering fundraising events and campaigns across the Island with an emphasis on supporting fundraisers in our community and helping to deliver and develop our own programme of fundraising events. 
 
You will have strong inter-personal skills and have a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude.  Educated to degree level or equivalent preferably within a related subject to marketing or event manager.  Be able to work as part of a cohesive team and when the need arises on your own initiative.  Have strong organisational skills and be a confident user of IT across several software areas including: presentation, word processing, spreadsheet and database programmes.
You will ideally have 2-3 years fundraising events management experience and have experience of motivating and working with teams of volunteers to help develop, plan and deliver fundraising campaigns.  You will have excellent communication skills across all areas and at all levels.

SHOP MANAGER

37.5 hours per week including Saturdays
  
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join us working as Shop Manager within our retail team.  As Shop Manager you will need to be commercially astute and highly organised, and use your skills to drive sales and motivate a team of volunteers in order to maximise income. It’s a varied role where you’ll be managing a team, dealing with donations, sort and process stock, maintain high standards of shop presentation and promote our values in the local community. With autonomy to manage your own shop you’ll demonstrate a creative flair to get the best results and be responsible for training and development of your staff and volunteers.
 
The successful candidate will have previous management experience within the retail sector, possess strong customer service skills and have the drive to maximise sales.  You will have experience of attaining targets/KPI’s.  Have strong organisational and good communication skills with good computer skills.  Enjoy working with people and leading a team of volunteers.
You will be required to work flexibly to include Saturdays.

Relief Shop Manager
(Bank Contract)

As Relief Shop Manager you will be required to work from any one of our shop locations on the Island and therefore you must be able to travel between retail locations as required.  This role is a bank position to provide ad-hoc cover for staff holidays and absences.
 
The successful candidate will ideally have previous management experience within the retail sector, possess strong customer service skills.  Have strong organisational and good communication skills.  Working knowledge of excel, word, etc.  You will be required to work flexibly which may include Saturdays.

Relief Donation & Distribution Centre Assistants
(Newport Warehouse)

Relief Van Drivers - Retail Service
(Bank Contract)

As a Hospice Relief Van Driver you are one of our front line representatives.  This role is a bank position to provide ad-hoc cover for staff holidays and absences and as a Relief Van Drive you will be required to collect donations and undertake deliveries to private homes across the Island. 

The successful applicant must have good people skills, a clean driving licence and be flexible in their approach to work and hours.

Earl Mountbatten Hospice Personal Care Team

Would you like to help care for frail people in their own homes during the last year of life? 

If so, we are looking for kind, compassionate and experienced people to join our dynamic and developing team of domiciliary carers who look after people who are dying in their own homes. We offer an induction and bespoke training which is underpinned by our mission, vision and our values. Initially, you will work as part of our committed bank of carers and will have the opportunity to work flexibly across all of the care services across the Hospice. This may be during the day or overnight. Our intention is to grow this service as quickly as possible. Excellent hourly rates and travel expenses apply.

Some experience of working in the Community would be an advantage. Car driver with access to a vehicle essential.
