Community Hub

Earl Mountbatten is open to all!

One of the ways we involved the community is through our Social Programme, which is a range of social events open to patients, carers, family members, staff, volunteers and the whole Island.

It brings together hospice users and the local community. Many people would not think about visiting a hospice, unless to visit a relative or friend. Many people are uncomfortable talking about death and dying, and may have a pre-conceived idea of what a hospice looks like and the range and quality of what we offer.

Our Social Programme aims to change this and show that Earl Mountbatten Hospice is about our community sharing good times together.

All these events are planned to offer opportunities to dispel myths and change perceptions - both about Earl Mountbatten and the people who use our services. Everyone is most welcome to join us.

"They anticipate my needs and I believe go the extra mile in ensuring the quality of my life is enhanced".
