New Arrangements For Isle of Wight Palliative Care Home Visiting Service
Following extensive discussions and consultation the End of Life Care Strategy for the Isle of Wight was published in September 2009. The strategy, which took on board the views of key stakeholder groups, patients and relatives, made a number of recommendations and proposed that Island services needed to be more integrated to ensure a seamless service for Island residents.
As part of the new integrated service agreement has been reached between NHS Isle of Wight and the Earl Mountbatten Hospice to provide a new Palliative Care Home Visiting Service from 1st April 2010.
