EMH John Cheverton Centre
An exciting new development for the Hospice and the Isle of Wight, one that provides not only some of our current services in a much improved environment, but also offers new and different opportunities for people of all ages with or affected by life-limiting illnesses at any stage.
New facilities aim to combine information, education, social and therapeutic activity in a safe and supportive environment to promote the joy of living for those suffering from or affected by life-limiting illness. The services available in the centre include:
Palliative Care Services at EMH John Cheverton Centre
An Information & Support Centre
There is fully disabled access to all areas of the EMH John Cheverton Centre and the surrounding landscaped and decked outdoor space.
If you come by car there is designated car parking outside the centre, reserved ‘Blue Badge’ spaces and a pick up/drop off point.
Refreshments
A café is available for affordable, good quality, nutritious food and drinks between 10am – 4pm Monday – Friday.
Smoking
EMH John Cheverton Centre is a non-smoking site both in the building and outdoor spaces, other than a designated area for patient use.
Children
Children are welcome in EMH John Cheverton Centre, as long as supervised by their carers. There is a range of children’s toys, games and activities available for use. Baby changing facilities are available. The café has highchairs and suitable children’s cutlery and crockery.
