In-Patient Ward

In-patient services currently offer 14 beds, with en-suite WCs, to which we admit patients in the following circumstances:

- In the advanced stages of their illness.
- For a short time to get difficult symptoms under control.
- Recovery period following treatment elsewhere.

Our multi-disciplinary team is skilled in promoting comfort and relief from symptoms. Needs for emotional, psychological and spiritual support are also met.

Patients have access to the full range of services provided by the Hospice, including a wide range of complementary therapies and diversions.

Families and friends may visit from 11.00 am to 7.30 pm and at other times by arrangement with ward staff. Arrangements can be made for relatives to stay overnight if a patient is very ill. Children and pets are warmly welcomed.

Our facilities include quiet rooms for confidential discussions and secluded garden areas.  Refreshments are available and family meals can be ordered in advance for a small charge.
