Walk the Wight

Bembridge, Carisbrooke, Needles Park.

This will be the 20^th year that thousands of hardy walkers have braved the elements to help raise an incredible amount of money for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.  2009’s Walk the Wight saw a staggering 11,5000 walkers who raised £387,870 and we’re hoping to top that for our 20^th Anniversary! 

The full Walk covers 26.5 miles from picturesque Bembridge to the stunning Needles Park, this walk takes 7-10 hours.  The walk is also broken up into two separate stages, there is the 12.5 miles from Bembridge to Carisbrooke (3-5 hours) and the slightly longer 14 miles stage from Carisbrooke to Needles Park (4-7 hours).  You can partake in either stage or do the whole 26.5 miles to help raise money for the Island’s Hospice.

There is also a Flat Walk of approximately 8 miles and a Schools Walk the Wight initiative and a special Dogs Walk the Wight Challenge.  For full information on Walk the Wight please follow the link here...
